We are working to stop the deceptively-named "Housing for All initiative" - an effort that would jeopardize affordable housing developments in Old Town and Downtown Eureka.

Measure F does NOT Ensure Downtown Vitality, it actually hurts downtown by blocking housing that would bring new customers and workers within walking distance of local businesses, and keeps our parking system stuck in the past.

Measure F Does NOT Help Relieve the Housing Crisis, it actually puts in jeopardy 199 housing units already planned for construction, with over 45 million dollars already secured, and makes future building downtown much more difficult. The “Jacobs site” can be rezoned by the City of Eureka without this measure, and efforts to undertake that are already underway, with public input from the neighbors.

Measure F does NOT “enable” the City of Eureka to “greatly increase” the number of affordable housing units the city can provide, or cause the Jacobs site to become planned affordable housing, it just blocks any future planning behind another complicated and expensive ballot measure.

Proponents of Measure F are attempting to divide the community by pitting “working” and “middle-income” families against “low-income” and “very low-income” families. In reality, they’re talking about the retired seniors, young families and working people who make up a lot of our community. A family of four making $41,250 to $65,950 a year, or a single person making between $28,900 to $46,200 a year, would qualify for this new housing. These are our neighbors; we stand together.

Eurekans won’t be fooled by fear mongering and empty promises.

Vote NO on Measure F!

“Downtown and Old Town Eureka will improve because of new housing. Imagine a local barista or office worker able to walk from an affordable home to their place of work in Downtown. Imagine these folks walking through Old Town on the weekends, visiting our local businesses and enjoying this vibrant and liveable town. Affordable housing is a win in every way for the city.”
